1) How To Access Your Online Galleries
Having access to your photos should not be that hard and I can help you make it easier on you! One thing that most people don't realize is when trying to access their online galleries, you are required to input your email address to ensure that the software that I use (Pixieset) can start generating your account for you. Once your email address is correctly imputed in submitted, you have full access to your photos.
2) How To Download Your Digital Images
After you have taken a look at all your digital images, you can download them directly onto your desired device. Follow these steps on how to download:
- Click the “Download” icon which looks like an arrow pointing down
- Click “High Resolution”
- Click “Save to My Device”
- Click “Download Photo”
- Once you have done that, a text saying “A new window with the photo will open. Press and hold the photo for the option to save.”
- Finally, you should just hold down the image and be able to add the image to your camera roll.
*You may need to input your email address and a pin number for downloads depending on if it has one for that gallery*
IMPORTANT TIPS AND TRICKS
- "LIKING" the images you want will put them in a "FAVORITES" file, I highly recommend doing this. One it makes sure all of the images you want are in one file. Secondly, when you go to download your images, it will download all of the images that you have in that "FAVORITES" file.
- Downloading your images as soon as you get them because most photographers put an expiration on the galleries to ensure storage on the software that they use. Plus, it also is a security measure for their clients so that way their images are not out their for everyone to see.
- Downloading the images in HIGH RESOLUTION! The biggest thing I see is some people don't want to go through the hassle of liking, downloading, saving their images on their device. So they take screenshots of the images. DON'T DO IT! The reason why is because when you take a screenshot of an image, it automatically decreases the pixel size and making the image look more burry then what it would look like if you downloaded it in HIGH RESOLUTION.
- Provide photography credit when using photos, the best way for photographers to get their name out their is by either tagging or shouting them out on social media. It is also important because most people when they see the photos on social media, they typically ask right away "Who was your photographer." if you put your photographers information on a post or link the image to their site, it saves you time from having to share that information again with people that want to know who took the photos.
