This year, I had the incredible honor of attending the Arizona Bride Best of 2026 Gala as a finalist in two prestigious categories: Best Elopement Photographer and Best New Wedding Business. Walking into that event as a recognized finalist felt like a full-circle moment that I will treasure for years to come.
To even be nominated is something I never imagined when I launched Tyler Garlej Photography less than a year ago. Being recognized alongside some of the most talented photographers, planners, florists, venues, and wedding professionals in Arizona is both humbling and inspiring. The caliber of excellence represented at this event truly showcases the depth of talent within our state's wedding industry.
When I first started this journey, my goal was simple yet profound: create meaningful, editorial-style imagery that tells each couple's story in an authentic and intentional way. To now find myself among industry leaders and fellow vendors that I have admired and looked up to for years feels surreal and deeply validating. It's a testament to the power of staying true to your vision and working with purpose.
I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way. My couples who trusted me to document one of the most important days of their lives, the planners and vendors who welcomed me into this industry with open arms, and everyone who voted, encouraged, and believed in my work. Your support has been instrumental in making this recognition possible.

Arizona's wedding community is filled with exceptionally talented professionals who are passionate about their craft, and it was a genuine privilege to celebrate alongside so many creatives who continue to raise the standard for our industry and inspire the next generation of wedding professionals.
While bringing home an award would have been amazing, being named a finalist in two categories during my first year in business is something I am immensely proud of and will carry with me throughout my career. It serves as a powerful reminder of how far this business has come in such a short time and motivates me to continue growing, learning, and serving my couples at the highest level possible. This recognition fuels my commitment to excellence.
